Manufactured Homes on leased land.

By
Real Estate Agent with Advantage Avenue Real Estate

Hello everyone,

There was an article on NPR yesterday discussing the increasing problem of Manufactured homes owner having to move or sell their homes because the owner of the land is selling the lot to developers.  The increase in value has brought in this new dilemma in many states.

I have not seen this happening in Pasco county Florida but was curious as to how many agents are seeing this process taking place  where they live.

Regards,

Mario

Haven't had a problem up here, but we still have space to develop.  On a different note, I am curious as to what will happen to the manufactured home sector when FEMA starts releasing their trailers.

David and Mike,

Thanks for your input.  I just posted the link to the article I listened to on the radio in the main post.

Mario - we've had it happen like crazy in Pinellas County - some people have moved from one park to another just to have it sold out from under them. Now people are trying to legistate against it. The other is mobile homes on land are prime targets for real estate developers - we wrote a contract on one today and have done several this past year. It's because we don't have much vacant land - we're built out.
