Lone Tree drive up StarbucksLone Tree, Colorado ~ A Denver 'burb...

Hometown pride is important. We all have our reasons and they will be a unique and different as each individual. It's a healthy thing to feel good about the town one lives in.

Lone Tree is my home town. I like the community's convenient location to I-25 and E-470. In my business being able to hop on a freeway and be someplace else is important.

I am also impressed by the way the community is growing. There is a plan. We have a Mayor and council. We have our own great police force. We have a world class, nearly new hospital, Sky Ridge. We have Nordstroms (almost) but we do have Park Meadows Mall and a very cool light rail train to take us to downtown Denver and back.

My favorite haunt is the Starbucks on Yosemite, or the one in Safeway, or Target, or Barnes and Noble, and the one in the mall. I was both surprised and delighted to know in Lone Tree we have one Starbuck for every 1,583 citizens. The U.S. average is 1 for every 33,000. Now that's what I call being spoiled.

Lone Treers are a lucky bunch!

I remember when Starbucks first opened in Portland - being in the Pacific Northwest we got them first since it is a Seattle based company
