Tom, I am truely blessed that this kid is blessed!
I remember on the first day of first grade dropping him off at school. It had been raining outside and many of the earthworms had come to the surface and made their way to the sidewalk before the sun came out. He started picking them up and putting them back in the grass. I got mad because he got sidetracked and was going to be late for class. He replied, "Dad, what is more important, saving God's creatures, or going to school to have them try to teach me what I already know?"
I had to think fast and said, "OK, I will help you save 100 and that should be enough to maintain the species." So, we counted our way up to 100, he gave me a hug and headed into class.

I wish I could take the credit for teaching this kid what he knows but in all honesty, he has taught me a lot! I have heard of the saying "insanity is inherited, you get it from your kids"; so if genetics can work in reverse as well, I hope maybe I can inherit some of his IQ.

I just read another interestin post on this topic. It said that many people in the military were being relieved of duty due to obesity. Therefore, if they all put on more weight, they would all be be relieved of duty and the world would be a safer place as well!

I am still please that if you type in the following phrase into Google in quotes "answer to world peace disclosed" you will find this blog for my son as #1. And to think how many people call me every week to sell me key words, what is more important than this?

Looks like I need to refresh this. After all these years, this blog dropped to Page 2. It is fun have aggressive telemarketers Google "The Answer to World Peace Disclosed!" and have them see this pop up and I reply, "See, I already know how to get on page 1 of Google". Then, they hang up instead of me. Have a great day!
