All week I look forward to waking up on Saturday morning and spending some time with my family. My wife, myself, and our little girl, Hayden, spend the early part of the morning hanging out and playing. At around 10 am it's off to the Boulder Farmer's Market.
If you haven't been to the Farmer's Market and you live in the Boulder area you should head out today. It's going to be another beautiful day in Colorado and the Farmer's Market will be packed to the gills with families shopping, eating, and playing.
Big deal, it's just a market
Not really. There's a food court there that will just blow you away. "Amaizing Corn Tamales"have the best tamales on the planet! I dream of these things all week. Mole, green chile, chicken, veggie...you name it. And...
Oh God, the pesto!
Every week my wife and I buy some pest from Loredana's Pesto. These guys really know how to make that stuff. Here's our favorite:
Every week when we buy some of this stuff, the owner tells us that it'll last for months in the fridge...I swear it's never lasted more than a week in ours because we eat it so fast.
After we've had our fill of walking, eating, and shopping in the market we take a short stroll over to Boulder Creek and play in the water. Now, that's some seriously cold! water as it's just made a journey down from the high country. But Hayden doesn't seem to mind at all, and we'll hang out in the shallow water until our feet turn blue.
Then, it's nap time. Hayden will usually go down for a few hours after all the excitement. Maybe we'll see you this week at the Boulder Farmer's Market!
