It is finally warm and sunny in Oregon, but how come for me it is raining and I’m miserable

Yes, spring is here in Oregon. I’ve been waiting for it for awhile now, baseball season starts tomorrow night with our first practice. For the past two days it has hit 70 degrees for the first time since October. Although it is warm and sunny, for me the last two days have been miserable and it seems to be raining where ever I go.

Yes, spring is here and I’ve been waiting for it as I do every year. But, I always seem to forget the one thing I don’t like about spring. I have allergies.I went out today and saw it raining pollen. I tried to get a picture, but you can’t see the rain, but here is a picture of my wife’s car after just two days of this pollen. Heck it has even affected my satellite reception.

So, I’m happy spring is here, but I’m pretty sure it would be a good time to buy Zyrtec stock, as for the next four months I will be giving them lots of money to keep my eyes from swelling up and keeping me able to breathe out of my nose.

I guess you can say I have alove / hate relationship with spring, but come winter, I will only remember the good again and will keep wishing for it to arrive all theway up until the point the pollen begins to fall again next spring.

I have never heard of it raining pollen before.  Around here it gets picked up and blown by the wind, which is when it seems to affect people the worst, but other than that I dont think it is a bother.

Spring pollen plays heck on Kathy too. Snow,/rain/cold or a bit of sneezing and wheezing?  haha. Just keep the Zyrtec handy!

Im lucky that I don't get much but a little sniffle with all the pollen. Its been thick here for a few weeks now. Its worth it to have some great weather.

I didn't know that about pollen.  I always thought that is why people like the wet climates was because it kept the junk out of the air.  I guess I'm still learning......

Todd, I am one of those fortunate souls that has never had a problem with pollen but I can see how those who do are just miserable.

Todd- I will tell you the cure for your allergies even though you most likely will not believe me. I have horrific allergies all my life until I did this and now no more allergies. For real.

No sugar at all in any form except Agave nectar and Xytol. No fake sugars either, no aspertame, no splendid.

No artificial colors or flavor or preservatives.

No yeast, no vinegar except for organic raw unprocessed apple cider vinegar, no foods with these in them for two weeks.

Then for the first two weeks, no grains. You can eat meat, organic and lots of veggies. NO fruit for two weeks except coconut, avocados, tomatoes and pineapple. Lots of lemons and limes is good. Those are alkaline.

This is a candida cleanse. All allergies are caused by candida in the body. IT is not really the pollen it is your body's inability to deal with the pollens.

After 2 weeks, you can intro one grain a week to make sure you have no allergies to the grains. First is rice, then oats, then rye.

I have a lot more to it, supplements that I took to get me through. You need lots of probiotics.

The best probiotics that are natural are sourkraut and Kimchee. But not in vinegar. They create their own juices that ferment. I get them at Whole Foods. But I also take a probiotic supplement.

After 6 months, I had no more allergies. I know which foods I have to stay away from. Once in a while I will get a sneeze attack but rarely.

Tom - I don't like pollen, it isn't my friend!

Robert - It was just falling from the trees, it was amazing! I don't think I had ever seen it this bad before either. I don't think I needed to, but there it was.

Jessie - It is horrible for me, yet I spend most of my day out in it coaching sports, what am I thinking?

Zane - Thanks to the discover of Zyrtec last year it isn't that bad once I get it in to my system. It was just that time before I bought the stuff and got it in my system that was miserable.

Mark - It is wet, but if you have a few days of dry weather, we get it just as bad or worse for those days. But as soon as it rains, the pollen is gone again.

Teri - I got your e-mail and I will try that.

Katerina - Are you trying to kill me? I think I would rather sneeze than eat that good for that many days. My body would go in to shock, I'm a meat-a-tarian. (Green don't touch my lips - lol)

Todd- You can eat meat! That is fine! But you also need the green stuff. I am sure there is something that you can manage to get into your bod that is green or purple:)  Yes, your body would detox and that means it may go into shock for a few days. The withdrawels can get pretty darn bad, the cravings are horrid. Just like being addicted to drugs, hmmm, actually it is the chemicals that we are addicted to in the food. Eat whole foods, not processed. Nestor is on this, and he eats meat and he is still alive:)
