The ice is gone, piers are going in and the crappie are working their way into the channels. As I walk by the big blue monster in my drive, I am eager to pull that shrink wrap off and start prepping our boat for its annual launch. Eager to spend a sunny day on our beautiful Lake Wawasee . Last year just seemed different with marina gas around $5 a gallon, the lake traffic was down.
Also I have anxious anticipation of a improved housing market around the Lake.Last year was flat no doubt about it.Interest rates hovering around 6% and most sellers still holding on to that 05-06 appraisal, in hopes that their home would somehow sell at a premium only to realize in October that they were not immune to this downturn. While yes there are still many overpriced listings out there.[Personally I just think they don't really want to sell and leave Wawasee.]
There does seem to be a larger segment of home sellers that have come to terms with where this market is at. We have quite a few homes that are priced right. You just need a good agent to assist in determining what fair market value is.
