Michael I just went through your posts and wow - you really have a lot to offer! Good luck on the auction in a couple weeks. On another not with your experience would love to read more about the mechanics of auctioning - you could teach us something here!
Tell me what you would like to know more about and I would be happy to weigh in. As the Operations Manager for Ohio's largest real estate auction company, I stay busy with real estate auctions. I have 9 this month and trying to get more scheduled for May.
First thing that comes to mind is to associate with auctioneers who are members of their State and National Auctioneers Associations. Look for those who have the same letters after their name that I do:
CAI - Certified Auctioneers Institute (highest designation awarded within the auction industry)
AARE - Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate (I am 1 of less than 400 who hold such designation)
CES - Certified Estate Specialist
BAS - Benefit Auctioneer Specialist
CAI & AARE auctioneers will have more advanced training on the sale of real estate using the auction method of marketing. They can certainly help you (and will pay referrals).
