In Sarasota, there are so many elderly Realtors, many of whom are not up on the latest gadgets available to them as a Realtor. But many are still doing okay. They have such a huge referral base, that being oblivious to the Internet as a means of lead capture, is okay. One Realtor here is 98 years old and has been a Realtor for almost as many years! Last year she did $13 Million in Sales. That's a lot for a woman who works on her own with no technology tools.
On the other hand, I'm impressed with the older Realtors who have embraced technology. I think it's fantastic that they're taking time to learn new methods of selling Real Estate and are having fun doing it!
I often ponder this Real Estate business. It's one of the few businesses where there are no age barriers. Young and old alike are working together and learning from each other.
