According to our MLS we had 453 Residential Solds for the North Kona District of the Big Island of Hawaii in 2006. This means the market was absorbing about 38 Residential units a month (10 more a month than the South Hilo District) in 2006.
Our MLS stats as of today are:
- Total Residential Units Available: 360
- Number priced under $600,000: 100
- Number of 2007 Residential Solds at the end of Arpil 2007: 160
The May 2007 data is not complete yet. If the trend continues, the market is absorbing 40 homes a month in the South Kona District for 2007. The market seems to be absorbing 2 more residential units a month in 2007 then in 2007. In my opinion, it continutes to be a great time for buyers who wish to move to Hawaii and enjoy its unique culture and weather they will have much inventory to choose from.
