Honey, I bought a HOUSE!

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Solutions- OZARK MISSOURI

The next line always reads....AND I NEED SOME MONEY!

From childhood I have been blessed with the DO FIRST, THINK ABOUT IT LATTER gene.  (It runs on my mothers side of the family- just kidding)

I also have a touch of the dollar short, can you hold it till payday and my ships about to come in chromosomes.  (I take full responsibility for letting those three out and about)

Now I know you are wondering where this post is going---

1:  A rant on financial responsibilities- perhaps---

2:  A says one thing, means the mother--not going there!

3:  A brag about actually buying a house-   (WINNER)

Some of the gals are getting together at the church building to have a yard sale.  We don't do it every year but had success last year and most everyone said one more time can't hurt us.

I think it would make sense to bring all our stuff and just trade (I love to barter).  Every time I have participated in hosting a Yard Sale with friends, I end up bringing home more than I get rid of.  (I get rid of a lot- even to the point of having empty areas in my clutter).  I don't carry cash so I always have to keep a running tally and settle up at the end of the day.  Mary said that I only have to pay triple the sticker price as a pre-buy penalty.

Sarah and I decided to take most of the items left from our Flea Market booth and see how much we could keep from coming back into the house.  The mistake I made was looking to see what other gals had dropped off earlier in the day.  If you think I'm bragging-  I AM!  I have such a weak spot for toys for the grands.  Especially when they can play at my house and then take them home!!

Nick is setting up the DORA play house for our grand-daughter Karlee.  (Looks like he is having a bit too much fun with the accessories!

It you are running around MONETT this weekend, stop by the church of Christ at 9th and Sycamore- big large huge giant/nor-mas multifamily yard sale.  There is sure to something to entice you to reach for the wallet or at least hollar:  I need some $$ over here!

okay I'm confused.  Did you buy a house or are you advertising a yard sale or both?

I love yard sales, too bad I don't live in your area.  Good luck.

I had one last week and made $215.  Don't know how but I did.  I still have some leftovers.

Cheryl, I can empathize - I once tried to buy a warehouse just so I could get the beautiful antique phonograph inside it...

Angelia, I bought the doll house.  I have been on a self-imposed NO BUY but decided to help stimulate the economy with my purchase (No, I haven't paid for it yet!)

Brian-  I am usually tied up and left in the truck when it comes to yard sales, I can clean one out so quick it should be illegal for me to attend.  I didn't do too much damage with my early shopping, now this weekend when it is going full force might be different.  Again leaving the $$ at home.

Cynthia- thanks for seeing the humor-   CHERYL( I am very competitive and wanted the brag about the 'sell')WILLIS

I won a door prize at a staging conference I went to.  It was a highly coveted "doll house" with no roof.  It has furniture, and throw pillows, a window and valance.  It has a fireplace, and area rug. ALL are removable.  We use them for staging demos and WHENEVER I bring it out, women flock to it.  It is SO MUCH FUN!  Of course they are showing me their decor dilemmas, and asking what they should do...yeah...right....
