Sales Meetings: Good or Bad?

By
Education & Training with R World Properties, Inc

I had a sales meeting today. It’s good seeing my team, and I think it’s essential to touch base and make sure we’re on course. But today’s meeting also made me think about how sometimes we do things just because we get used to doing them a certain way…we need to question this type of thing from time to time.

I would much rather work…than TALK about working, you know what I mean? I think it’s time for us to revisit sales meetings and make sure we’re making productive use of our time while we’re there.

Do you have anything in your life that you’ve been doing the same way for a long time, that you feel may be time for review? Change can be good…

Christian,

Sales meetings can be somewhat challenging.  I believe they are a regular opportunity for the agents to share a bit of comraderie and remember they are not totally independent of one another.  It is an opportunity to do some training on current topics and encourage participation in upcoming events or classes.  It is an opportunity to have some fun and celebrate birthdays or recent achievements.  It is a brief time every couple of weeks to re-connect with people you may not have seen for awhile.

In a way, it is like going to club meetings or church.  You know what you believe, but it is nice to get some reinforcement from like-minded others.  There may be some tedious parts to meetings, but it is necessary to take care of business.  I try to have an agenda of valuable content and foster team spirit.

Of course, I am always eager to learn of successful strategies others have used for sales meetings.  Keep in touch.
