I knew things had been showing so much promise from the Tuesday morning buzz over the last few weeks to the increase in our sales and listing boards. For people not familiar with the state of Ohio northeast Ohio encompasses the Cleveland Area and surrounding suburbs.
An email was sent to me this morning from the Muiltiple listing service for Northeast Ohio with the following news (This report I need to share did not just include Northeast Ohio also included the Akron - Canton area)
MONTHLY STATISTICS REPORT FOR MARCH 2009
"All Property Types" include Single Family, Condominium, Multi-Family, Land and Commercial For Sale property types.
These statistics include listings submitted by participating brokers. These listings are located in the NORMLS and CRIS primary
counties which are: Ashtabula, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark,
Summit, Trumbull and Tuscarawas Counties.
Based on information from the Northeastern Ohio Real Estate Exchange (NEOHREX) MLS System for the period of
March 1, 2009 to March 30, 2009.
Due to the inception of NEOHREX as the MLS system for NORMLS and CRIS in January 2009, and the combining of the two
databases; the history maintained may not accurately refl ect the real estate activity prior to January 2009. We will not be providing prior
year and prior year to date information until January 2010. At that time we will be able to provide accurate comparison data

With this news came the report that average days on the market were also hovering around 90 days. Which again is great news for the home inventory.
