It Must Be Busy, I Am Not Seeing ALL Of My Friends

Is it just me or have you noticed a slow down on the number of posts being written?

The month of April has been the slowest month yet for many Realtors, Loan Officers, Stagers, etc (aka Bloggers).  At least for the ones I have been following.  My person posts have slowed down, but I have been working on my posts list.  I am sure I'll make some time to really put down the details to them.  my friend Loreena has given me some pointers of keeping track of post ideas.

As for my friends, is this a sign that things have picked up in Real Estate?  I guess it going to happen at some point.  ActiveRain is a great place to get some support, suggestions, and motivation.  When things are slower, we tend to lean on our friends and family (like the ones here in the rain).  We would write posts and our friends would comment.

I do miss my friends that were writing posts each day, but I know its for the better.  If they are not here, they must be focused and working hard.  Busy Busy Busy.  Congratulations!  When you have some time, your friends will be here waiting.

I'm not sure if the folks at Active Rain will be so happy about your theory.  Active in Real Estate means less active on Active Rain!!

ActiveRain's timing was great... they grew exponentially in part because real estate professionals had time on their hands with the market down.  A better market does mean less discretionary time and there are many other social media demands for that time, as well.  Last but not least, some folks may be tired of the constant re-inventing of ActiveRain and would just like to enjoy it a while between new innovations.

I think you are right...sometimes lately when I have gone to "visit" pals on AR to see what's new...it is the same old/same old and I send them prosperous thoughts and know that they will return as time and energy allow. AR and java is a ritual I enjoy....it is a wake up call to my brain cells and a great howdy to people all over the country.

Hi John, my posts are fewer and farther between due to many factors as well as I also post on another site www.energizedseller.com. Yes, things have picked up too.  I find that after being on active rain now since 2007 - I need time to write a thoughtful post and one that is useful for my target market or other professionals.  I also wish I had more time to comment on other's posts as well - I mainly now stick to this group right here and occassionally venture out in other groups when I have time - that's the key - time!

What's up my man?

I am not so conceited to think that this post was directed at me, but that fact is and I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge it......I have not been here as much as I have liked and I miss my friends as well. So thank you John for reaching out to all of us fellow drips and friends that have not had the time to be here as often as we like. I have been thinking a lot lately and am starting to re-focus my online efforts and changing my efforts to specifically drive business to my client base. We are national and the perfect client is the medium size lender /broker that has enough volume to warrant our model, but needs that personal service offering.

I respect your opinion and would love to talk you about this. What do you say?

Bo

I think a lot of people are starting to pick up in business and have slowed down with their efforts on AR.

I saw a post by my associate, Russell Lewis where he talked about the fact that he has been too busy to blog lately. I guess a person's location has a lot to do with having the time these days!

Matt - Real space is nice too.

Hey Katerina - Taxes are important, so I could see taking some time off for that.  Hopefully it was not such bad news.

Gabe - I am sure thats one of the reasons AR boomed in the last few months.  Not to say we don't enjoy it, because we do.  Its a great place for support, guidance, and friendship.

Excellent point Margaret.

Sally and David - I agree.  Its a great ritual.  I know I loved waking up, making coffee, and jumping on AR, gmail, and Outlook to see whats going on in the world.  Add comments, make a post, good start.

Karen - Makes sense. I know you have mentioned that site several times before.  We will be here when you write your posts.

Bo - You are correct that you are one of my friends that is hardly ever online.  Hopefully it means you are busy working.  My phone is always open for you.  Or give me a time and I'll give you a hollar.

I agree JL.

Jeanette - Im sure location has something to do with it, but also the direction.  There is definitely more activity going on.

LOL Greg.  Yes, you are still my friend.  I said I miss ALL of my friends.  I still check in with you and share my thoughts.  LOL

John - I've pretty well mailed it in over the last 4-6 weeks because something had to give.  I've got about one more week of chaos and then things will settle down a little.  While it was fun (and profitable) to be that busy, I'm looking forward to a little break.

John ... it has been very busy and I hope you are feeling the positive in your business as well.  More listings coming on the market (I have 3 today) and contracts being offered!  Hope the season maintains on this great trend!  I have been laying out over the last couple of weeks as well with reduced posts, etc.  Sign of the times.  Wishing you the very best.

John....you rang?  *wink*.  I have been SO darned busy.  TOO busy.  I feel guilty even saying that, but with 12 hour days AND 7 days a week, I was exhausted.

I had 3 very very needy buyers in April that really kept me busy, on top of new buyers.  Add to that 3 new listings and you have one over worked Realtor, lol.

I would be so dog tired and on brain overload, I couldn't even think to write a post or visit my friends on Twitter.

I'm caught up now, contracts are all accepted so easy street is ahead of me! (or at least I can get caught up, for the next round)  Now, I can stalk you again, rotfl.

Missed ya Rubber man!
