Hi Rebecca ~ Super instructions and I love your easy-to-follow presentation.  I gotta say - blogging could be a full-time job - in terms of time if not money.

Hi Rebecca:

I really appreciate the tips.  I have already registered my blog with Yahoo and Goggle.  I just added analytics so i could see where the traffic was coming to my site recently.  My website is starting to get increased activity.  My AR blog is also getting thousands of hits.  As you stated I'm trying to pull both of those into more phone calls and opportunities from perspective clients.

Hi Rebecca...I'm struggling to stay afloat and really relish the advice you and others give.

I'm checking back to see your response to Jane's question.  I'm wondering about that also.

Thanks for the tips, Rebecca - one thing I'm wondering though--our AR Outside blogs are already submitted to Google & Yahoo, aren't they?

Adri- THere are many sites.  That's why making a plan of a few at a time is probably the best bet.  Otherwise it can get completely overwhelming.

Jane and Kate- I stopped submitting to localism and my outside blog about 1 month ago because I noticed my blog getting buried in the SERP's.  Now I had heard at the same time that Google had changed it's algorithms and it could Definitely be a coincidence.

I am not a SEO expert, this is not my field.  My field is marketing, specifically for the r.e. industry.  So I can only speak to my observation.  That is what I observed so I personally don't post to both any longer.  Just figured better safe than sorry.

Tim- Yes it can definitely be overwhelming but remember they are tools and they are supposed to be working for you not the other way around.

Cedric- Nice to see you again...stop by anytime.

Mary- I think you will find some of these steps to be basic but effective.

Liz- Definitely, it was my full time job for 1 1/2 years so I can attest to that.

Greg- That is fantastic and good that you added Google Analytics.  It's important to measure so you know where to tweak.

Sharon and Martha- Thank you for your kind words.

Kent- Hmm...that's not my understanding.  I have a typepad blog and I have had a wordpress blog and those weren't automatically submitted.  I never read anything that said the outside blogs were submitted.  Now Google may index your posts without you having submitted it, but I would still check and make sure.

Well,  I failed with Technorati.  I tried to claim my AR blog about five times and got the same message.  Bummer.  There is always tomorrow.

Thank you for the reply Rebecca, I know you are not SEO expert but I have since asked several people about their experiences with posting to Localism and Outside blogs and they all say they are not getting good results and are not continuing to do it.  For some reason my Localism blogs are showing up very fast when I post them to Localism only but not so much when I post to both.  My outside blog never shows up in Google.  I just use it to e-mail to people because it looks nice.  I am going to abandon it, move my domain to a wordpress blog....

Kim- Awesome thinking.  I have a few of these lined up for next Wednesday- the big one being some more blog directory submission.

Scott- Happy to share.

Jane- Hmmm....that it is a sticky widget.  I am going to leave my outside blog up and see what happens.  I also can say that I haven't done that much to promote mine, so I am not expecting too much right now.
