Broomfield Veterans Museum Memorial Picnic
Bring the whole family to this event! It takes place on May 28, bring all of your picnic supplies including blankets and chairs (the Lions will be selling food if you need to purchase something to eat). It will take place at the west end of the Broomfield County Commons at 132nd and Sheridan from 3-6:15.
At 3 p.m. they'll feature the Honor Guard, the National Anthem and the Invocation.
At 3:25 will be the keynote address by Rick Crandall from KEZW radio.
At 4:00 the Rocky Mountain Brassworks Band will play.
At 5:50 the El Jebel Shrine Pipe Band will play.
And at 6:15 they'll play taps.
Baseball Camp!
As official score keeper for the rockin' Scorpians Shaw Heights Little League Baseball team I'm learning more about baseball this spring than I ever thought possible.
I also think this event sounds like it would be a LOT of fun - All Star Baseball Summer Camp for ages 7 - 14. Granted, at $150 a kid it's not the cheapest event in the world but it runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., June 18-20 at George Hall Field at Broomfield Community Park. Field Trip to the Hard Rock Cafe and 16th Street Mall
This event is for kids ages 11-17 and takes place on June 20 (you have to sign up by June 18) and will include kids from Broomfield, Northglenn and Thornton.
