Yes, I am selling my pesonal home and the tables have turned and I am now a "Seller".
My husband and I have 3005 square feet with 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and a bonus room and let's not forget a 16 X 32 inground pool. Of course, I am doing everything I know to promote the home and was anxious to get the sign and flyer box out. I am feeling the table turn and instead of being a REALTOR, I am the anxious Seller and wondering when my house will sell. I am going around our home each morning to make sure each room is neat and clutter free, that my flyer box is full and yes, I have checked every website that I know of to make certain that my home is there. An observation is that my husband and I see our home each day and think of ALL that we love about it and say "let's keep it" and one of us has to step up and say "no, we want to downsize". Just goes to show that we may sell homes each day but when it comes to our own, the emotional aspect is still there.
We have met our best friends in our neighborhood and made some very close friends. We walk our dog regularly and the neighbors that don't know us, will know our dogs name. We held many neighborhood meet and greets, kids swim parties, and even a pumpkin painting party.
The experience of placing my home on the market has made me more sensitive to the Sellers that I work with that are waiting for their homes to sell in this unpredictable market as well.
