Motivational Power Quote

Let Go of Uncompleted Tasks

"Nothing is so fatiguing

as hanging on to

an uncompleted task."

William James, American psychologist

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Let go of uncompleted tasks.

When we hang onto an uncompleted task it's like dragging an anchor around with us. It becomes exhausting.

An uncompleted task will not only drain our energy but it will also cloud our thinking.  As we continue think about the things that are left undone we are draining our energy.

Create a written list of your priorities; put your uncompleted tasks of the list by importance. Create a plan to complete the task and take action.

Once you have completed the task you will feel as if a weight has lifted off your shoulders and we will see a return of our energy.

Lou, absolutely perfect phrase. I always feel the burden on my shoulders when I have an uncompleted task and feel BIG relief when I comete the task on time as scheduled and have more energy to finish more tasks than planned usually.

Lou - excellent reminder.  Its hard to escape an uncompleted task, they gnaw at you.  I have one or two that I'm carrying, I'll let them go now that I have permission.

Lou, so many people know this but still don't do anything about it.  I find myself doing that at times, but always try to give myself a kick in the rear to get going again.
