To Tweet or not to Tweet?

Hello,

Well.....I'm offically up and running on Twitter.  For me it was the last frontier of social networking.  It was the site I was resisted the most for a few reasons.

    1. I don't really know how it works and what's it's purpose really is.

    2. I don't use a Blackberry and am not really into texting except to my teenager.

    3. I can't think of one person who would want a play by play of my day.

However.....I am a big fan of SN and see great value in Active Rain, Linked In, Facebook and others.  So tell me....what are the advantages and disadvantages of Twitter?  I greatly look forward to your responses.

Hi Sarah, I just joined Twitter ( @cleverealtordan ) and felt the exact same way as you at first. I am getting the hang of it. The cool thing is that you can write a blog here and have it automatically fed to Twitter. If you haven't done so yet, go into your settings and fill in the Twitter info so that you can take advantage of this feature. I believe Facebook has the same option and there was a post written here about it. If I can find it, I'll send you the link to this post. I don't Twitter to tell people what I'm doing too much, but think it's more important to share links to charity events or something interesting. Give people a reason to want to follow you. Good luck and thanks for the post.

I like Twitter for the same reasons.  It's a free and easy way to get your name out there.  Of coure, along with all of the other agents in your area that are using the same tools!
