Since arriving in 2000, The Arthur Lyons' Film Noir Festival has been entertaining people year after year.  As another spring rolls around the film festival is back to amaze guests at the Palm Springs Cultural Center.  This year's festival will be held at the Camelot Theatres on May 28-31.

Back in 2000 when the festival was founded, the Film Noir included a variety of eclectic mixtures of prestigious and obscure black and white movies.  All of these "B" scale movies were relevant to the classic film noir period.  In addition to the movies themselves, the festival is always known for a wide array of personal appearances from the stars themselves.Film Noir palm Springs

In 2008 there are a number of featured special appearances from various actors.  Some of the appearances included Angie Dickinson, Margia Dean, Jayne Meadows, and Carol Lynley.  Some of the screenings guests were able to enjoy included The Killers, Lady in the Lake, and Smooth as Silk.

Unfortunately, Arthur Lyons did pass away a year before he could witness the Film Noir Festival he has produced.  However, the Palm Springs Cultural Center has made it possible for the show to go on.  And in his honor, the festival was respectfully changed to include his name to remember him by.

The schedule for this year's events will not let down.  Some of the featured films you can expect to see include The Bad Seed, The Garment Jungle and Crisscross.  As expected, there will be a number of guests making special appearances as well.  On the list thus far you can expect to see Patty McCormick, Robert Loggia, and Anne Rutherford to name a few.

This is one event you do not want to miss.  All morning and early afternoon screenings can be purchased for $11 while tickets for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. screenings will run you $13.  If you are looking for the ultimate experience, you can purchase an all access pass that includes opening and closing night festivities for just $120.  You can purchase tickets at the Camelot Theatres or by calling in.

There are few events that compare to the spectacular Film Noir Festival.  It is vital you get on the ball to purchase your tickets today for Arthur Lyons' Film Noir Festival that will be held at the Camelot Theatres on May 28-31.  With a wide array of films and featured guests, it is sure to be an experience you will never forget.

This sounds like something I would go to, different and probably worth the experience.
