Do You Make This FATAL Mistake When Using Facebook?

By

Facebook seems to be all the rage these days for any Realtor or affiliate trying to market their services and listings on the internet.

But there is one mistake that a lot of us make and it could cost you countless thousands of dollars and "friends" over time.

What is it?  I'll detail it here...

When the average person first joins facebook, they start looking for friends and send friend requests to what I would call "real friends".  High school buddies, people they actually have known, business acquantances, etc.

They'll end up with 100 or so friends.

When marketers, (Realtors, mortgage people, etc) start using facebook, they "friend" just about anyone they can find in their local area resulting in hundreds, if not thousands of "friends".  And that part is okay...

but here is the problem:

When YOU post something on YOUR facebook page, it will scroll to the bottom FAST.  Why?  You have so many "friends" posting stuff at the same time.  You make a post and within minutes, it's gone, already off the bottom of YOUR page.

What do you do then?

You post another house or video or comment - and therein lies the problem.  The impression you get is that your post has dissappeared for all the friends you have...NOT SO!

Like I said before - most "average people" only have about 50 to 100 friends - so at any one time, there may only be 4 or 5 of their frineds online posting anything.

Their page scrolls SLOWLY because there aren't many posts on their page.

So here's what happens...

You post 2 or 3 or even 9 things in a day and when these "average joes" log onto their facebook page - they will see ALL 9 of YOUR posts on their page - basically clogging it up!

In fact, YOU may be the only thing they see on their entire page!  You only need to make this mistake once or twice and guess what will happen?

They will click the "Hide the Realtor" button and you will be invisible to them forever.

All the time you spent "friending" people will end up being a waste.

If that's not bad enough, facebook makes it difficult to find the "unhide" button so once you are hidden, you're probably gone forever from their facebook page.

So the key here, if you have more than a few hundred friends, is to ONLY post once a day or even once every 2 days.

Learn to MAKE money and get more leads online.  I've posted more tips and tricks at www.RealEstaterocketFuel.com and have even put up a 21st Century Agent's Toolkit.

Hope this helps.

It have a lot of friends that fit this category and have no concept of the business networking aspect of Facebook.  This is really important info to keep in mind so you don't alienate these folks.
