I've had this happen time and time again. A buyers calls about a property. They are calling for information. After I give them the information, then I ask them questions. Do you intend to pay cash for the home? The answer is usually no. Then I ask more questions, to find out that they don't know what they even qualify for in buying a home.
Buying a home is not like going to the mall and window shopping. You can't put item on lay-away and hope to pick it up later. Especially, if it is a bank-owned property. As a buyer you should know what you qualify for. To take it a step further, there should already be some dialogue between you and the lender or loan agent. Right now, it is best that you get pre-approval first! This is not the time to window shop because it is a waste of your gas and time. So, what's in your wallet? Is it a pre-qualification or pre-approval letter? I am here to help educate you so you can purchase a home.
