ASSISTANCE URGENTLY NEEDED BY FIRST TIME BUYERS

We are receiving calls from first time home buyers that really want to take advantage of the currently available $8,000 tax credit. Some do not have the minimum 3.5% cash required for FHA financing and some need an non-occupant co-borrower to qualify.

Now is the time for parents and other family members to step up and offer assistance so these prospective buyers can select a home and get to settlement before the end of November.

For a young buyer, the $8,000 tax credit is really a major benefit. If your kids are responsible young adults, it is time to offer your assistance. If the home they like needs some work, the FHA Streamlined 203(k) program will allow the buyers to include up to $35,000 of home improvements in the mortgage loan amount.

We represent buyer clients as their exclusive agents. In the current market, the bargains are found in the inventory of lender owned foreclosures. There is a great selection of homes, interest rates are very low and it is the perfect time to become a home owner. roykelley@mris.com
