I spent Tuesday of this weekat the Spring Rally provided by RE/MAX of Texas! The speaker at the rally was none other than David Knox himself! His energetic way of speaking drew everyone into what he had to say. I found myself continuously laughing at his depiction of Realtors and the way we can sometimes react when we are trying to get a sale. Ultimately I found out I think I am on the right track but do need to remember to just "let go" like David Knox said in his seminar. Paula Flores & I tried this skill yesterday when we were lost, twice, looking for a rural property. I can see it is something I will need to work on. If you have never seen David Knox or used any of his videos on listing presentations, you are missing out! He was one of the best speakers I have heard and his outlook on life is contagious. I use his videos for listing appointments and it really helps my clients understand the home selling process.
We also had 2 break out sessions where I first learned from Steve Craven the ins and outs of doing a short sale. Since I am currently in the middle of taking my courses to obtain my CDPE (certified distressed property expert) designation, this session helped reiterate the importance of learning how to help people in distressed situations. Since I am a RE/MAX member, I was able to receive my CDPE course at half the cost of retail! Another reason I love RE/MAX!
The second break out session was taught by Jon Thomas with RE/MAX Trinity in Fort Worth, TX. He taught us how to use our lead generation system that comes to us off remax.com, free of charge and turn our leads into clients. He started out in the business in 2007 and within his first year made 6 figures just doing all the things he taught us!
I cant wait to take all that I have learned and implement them into our business. Thanks again RE/MAX for another great seminar!
