Sally's Saturday Evening Post: Talent

By
Real Estate Agent with Liberty Homes RS-#62825

I thought I'd devote a piece on Sally's Saturday evening post ... to talent.

My husband Gary picks something special to cook every weekend. He can get pretty creative. We decided to make this a healthy weekend so for lunch we had a very nice spring garden salad with tropical fruit plopped on top.

He's a very talented cook (and believe me....if I want a home cooked meal I keep praising him)

He made homemade chicken and rice soup with all kinds of veggies for dinner.

Yummy....lookie at that pot of soup!

My dog Shadow can nod out real well...that's talent. Sleeping while sitting up ...lol!

I think that she carried that through the past few years after that bout with big time meds through getting neutured and putting that microchip in her at six months old.

All night she would remain standing and her head would slowly go down to the floor... to rest.

Sometimes talent comes naturally to some....and they take it to the next level to learn more.

For instance, look at this box. The talent that it takes (not to mention the patience) to hold a steady hand....yet paint such soft detailed strokes.

Delicate, artistic and appealing to the eye.

I love artistic and creative people. Their work shows the depth of their souls and mirrors their abundance of passion for art.

My Broker in Charge, Leona E. Soto goes to California every year to learn more and paint with a talented painter.

These are her paintings on the boxes and I asked her to keep me up to date on what she was doing so she emailed me.

I can only fingerpaint so I truly appreciate her talent.

Appreciation for ..... talent.

Sally's Saturday Evening Post.

Hi Sally... I am a firm believer that being able to recognize and appreciate talent in others is a talent in itself.  It sounds like you are surrounded by a wide variety of talented individuals! :)

The 3 "T's" as I learned many years ago in church about tithing, Time, Talent and Treasure. All 3 are so important to give to something, and certainly we can all come up with just one of them!

Great talents Sally, LOL. I can't decide who is the most talented, your husband (I love food), the dog or your  broker.

Good morning, Sally. Hope it's a beautiful day where you are.  It certainly is here!

I just returned from a short vacation to L.A. where I visited with my children and grand children and marveled at their unique talents. Mostly I'm thinking about how truly blessed I am for the "talent" of just being a Mom.

Hope all is well with you.

Sally--We all have different talents and though you may not be able to paint with a brush your words paint beautiful stories for us all...and then there is your photography. (That soup looks wonderful as it is raining and chilly in MN today.)

Those boxes are beautiful.
The pot of soup looks yummy, Sally.  I'm lucky at home - I love to cook, but if I choose not to, my son cooks really well too - and it's always a treat when he does, because he likes to experiment.

Sally...

Those painted boxes are lovely ... what a talent. I do ALL of the cooking in our house. I go to the market to see what "looks good" and then build a meal around it. I use all fresh ingredients and herbs, and lots of chilies!

Now I'm getting hungry. Aloha.
