I Thought This Was Cool...A Home Built With NO Screws Or Nails AND Can Withstand Hurricanes!

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Chay Realty Inc, Brokerage

That’s right. This beauty has no screws or nails but is durable enough to withstand earthquakes AND hurricanes (you’ll probably still have to board up the windows). The secret is aerospace grade aluminum and a unique modular interlocking system.

Jeriko House is environmentally friendly and energy efficient, can be built in as little as 2 months (though usually 4-6), and cost around $175 a sq.ft. (shipping is included). There are 5 designs to choose from in every conceivable configuration. Sizes range from a tiny 600 sq. ft. to as “big as your imagination”. Oh my.

And check this out. Jeriko House can be built on virtually any terrain, including water (we’d have to see that). The main office is in New Orleans (where they probably learned to build on water). Others in Spain and Bali. Shawn Burst is the founder of this unique prefab.

They are predicting an active season here in Florida - I'm going to save that link.  Wonder if it comes with a generator?!?!

I'd recommend going to the site and checking out the FAQ section. I believe I saw the square foot $ there.

It should come with a generator!! Especially if you live in an active area.

Much success!

Wow.  Now if they can only build a home that will never burn up in the summer and get really cold in the winter with out heat and AC.

That's pretty cool.  With the active seasons we've had, this type of building could be the next BIG thing.

Jim & Maria, I agree with you. Given that people are still cleaning up from previous devastations, sounds like things like this are definitely needed. My only hope is that, like insurance, the costs aren't extremely outrageous that people need it, but can't afford, especially if it does what it says it does.

I jsut met Shawn Burst about a month ago -- Tulane graduate with an amazing mind.  What most amazes me is that this is his second business.  The first, Sales360, is a highly successful automotive marketing system -- entirely different world -- and he moves from that to brainstorm and introduce this concept?  What kind of gift does this man have?

Shawn Burst is a joke.  Look up Sales 360 and you'll see countless lists and fines for deceptive advertising.  He and his brother's company Samrt Automotive have both been fined for deceptive advertising.  I wouldn't buy a thing this man has his name attached to.
