The road to ubiquity...

So you want to enhance your web presence?

This is an updated version from the original post on April 26, 2009... So much has changed since then!

It equates to populating the search engine index with 'YOU' and helping the search engine understand that the 'YOU' scattered across the public pages of the web is THE one and only YOU! If the index understands 'YOU' and your conversations are relevant then you create gravity and the laws of attraction are in play.

Marketing like music uses repetition, it creates rhythm. People may not remember exactly what you said, but they will remember how they felt when you said it. If they like or can relate to your tone, your beat, your patterns, they're a lot more likely to listen and follow. Are you speaking to them or at them?

Are you playing their song?

We search the web everyday for our wants and needs... We're a culture of searchers and along the way we're learning stuff and making decisions.

We make a lot more decisions not to do something than we make decisions to do something.

Conversations are markets...

We are members of communities. They exist for mutual benefit and exchange. They aren't online to be sold. They want to identify with and belong to a conversation. They're looking for answers, solutions, products, and entertainment.

Don't second guess where your next customer is coming from. As it has always been, word of mouth, someone who knows someone who knows you.

We're in this all together (remember, we're community)...
