Have FUN in real estate!

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker

I'm convinced that 45% of real estate is like being a teacher; 45% therepist.  But that leftover 10% has just GOT to be filled with FUN.  Learn to ask questions that get your customers talking about themselves.  Find common ground through those conversations.  Folks want to deal with real estate agents with whom they feel they have a connection.

Goodness me - finding ways to giggle and laugh makes the time go faster while you schlog through yet another home.

Tip:  I bought an EASY BUTTON from Staples and keep it in my car in the armrest compartment.  At opportune moments, I open it like I'm looking for a pen and ----- PRESS IT.  Suddenly as the voice says from deep within:  "THAT was easy!" - everyone is laughing.

As realtors we all work very hard, we all better find fun in what we do also. I could not agree more.

Please remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC" and I will do the same!

A very upbeat post, I like it. For me the most fun is cashing my commission check. j/k I love to see the clients so happy in their new homes, especially first time home buyers.

Linda:  I'm with you.  If you aren't having fun, you aren't doing it right.  The great thing about real estate and being our own bosses is that we can be ourselves while working.

The best days are filled with fun and laughter; and even the worst days need a little of each.

Real estate is a very emotional process and if you can make that emotion a fun and not stressful, the memories of that sale will be a good one even if something actually went wrong during the sale.
