To blog or not to blog that is the question

By
Home Stager with Capital Home Staging & Design

Now, I dont know whether it's because i'm "new" at this or what but is blogging really worth all the hype?

I've Facebooked, I've Tweeted, and now I'm AR Blogging. So far I have no followers in my area....as far as I can tell i'm still figuring this thing out.

How do i target my local area? I dont know if people in Cali really care about my Home Staging in Ottawa Canada. Maybe in gereral ideas are great but not directly useful to myself. Between working full time with in the business, updating & maintaing client files. Generating new business. Tweeting, Facebooking, & More how am i suposed to find the time to blogg?

Sure i could do it on my phone....but then that's another added bill of $50 a month is it worth it? will Blogging really get me the amount of revenue to pay for that bill?

how are you finding blogging? working for you? maybe i'm not even doing it right! lol

so far i'll keep trying but i'm a little tired! Lol

Kristy, blogging absolutely works. We've only been on here for 3 months and have already seen a lot of success with our placement on google and with actual leads. You need to be consistent and write about things you like. Give staging tips to folks in Ontario or write about interesting things in your home town. The skys the limit and if you put in the work, you will get the results. Good luck.

Kristy- You are kidding right? If you just travel around AR and read all the myriad of testimonials- to blog is a no brainer. My blog is filled with testimonials of all the listings we get from blogging. For you it will be the same for staging, that is, if you do it with the right attitude and mindset.

If you pay it forward first, think on giving not getting. It will always come back to you in more blessings than you can ever count. Katerina

I think that AR blogging is fantastic-- by the time you read and educate yourself more and more- then you find that you have something to offer -- someone and it is great!

Hi Kristy, I started blogging to get more the "real" info out on my sales area providing stats etc..since we are highly recreational and ppl look to online to find info. I do refer to it and send ppl to my blog but not a follower but my hubby (haha) so not really sure how great it is working yet been 4 months. I believe like anything if you put 100% in you should reap the benefits so keep doing it or get doing it :0

The bottom line is that you blog and social network, or you will fail over the long haul.

Here is the deal, blogs, networking, and relationship building take time, there are no shortcuts. You must have a plan, and will probably not see any type of return on this sweat equity investment for 6-12 months. However, if you stick with it, put out quality content, and make sure to post on a regular basis, you WILL eventually see a return.

Keep blogging, and Capital Home Staging will be HUGE!!!! :)

Have a Profitable Day!

Search for other home stagers and you will see it is very worth it. You will read story after story of homes that sold in 2 days after an agent found them because of their blog.

Blogging does work. Create a few posts and use some keywords pertaining to your business. Then you need to fight a battle you can win. Make your post local. Use Kanata, Ottawa, etc. I have done this and when I Google some keywords, my posts will show up on the first page within minutes.
