Sitting On The Throne

One never knows what one is going to run into when taking a nature walk in my neck of the woods. So here I am walking down the riverbank with my trusty camera when I spot this:

Yep, it's a big heavy wooden chair built to resemble what appears to be a throne of sorts. Well it's not too difficult to figure out. Someone wanted something to sit on while they were fishing and didn't want to spend much money. So they found a couple of corner posts, used two for the rear legs, chopped one up into two for the front legs and nailed on a couple of boards. Pretty simple and there you have it, your own private personal fishing throne to sit on.

Very interesting. I think this proves the existence of God... kinda like the other story of walking thru a field and finding a wrist watch. Was it evolution or did someone design it?

I betcha didn't think of that. Thanks.

Suesan,

Looks like someone was a little creative doesn't it. Hope they caught lots of fish.

Andrew, you got me, I didn't think of that but I'm pretty sure it was by design.

Maybe this fisherman is also a Realtor as I like the 'out of the box' way of thinking.

Ellen, It's very possible that he was either a Realtor or maybe even a home inspector. Definitely someone who likes to think outside the box.

Kevin, That a great idea, all though I prefer to stand in the river while fishing. You have a great day as well.

I like the looks of it but I'd hate to have to take a nap in it!   It has a regal quality.

Suesan - What a neat chair in a neat spot.  It's almost perfect for sitting awhile and contemplating your belly button:-)

That looks like a great way to spend some time to me, Suesan.  You gotta have a chair to sit and truly enjoy the sunset.

Barbara, it doesn't really think it looks all that comfortable, besides I'd prefer to kick back on the rocks.

Myrl, now there's a purpose for the chair that never crossed my mind. I suppose that's an option.

Heather, I'm a rock person myself. Lay back on the rocks with your feet in the water... works for me.

I wonder why he didn't paint it -- LOL.

I used to go fishing all the time, but I'm not a fisherperson. Instead, I was the food and beverage service. My job was to make sure we never ran out of food and beverage. When we got low, I was off to the store.... Fishing was so much fun -- LOL.
