Humane Society of Delaware County Pet Adopt-A-Thon

The "PET ADOPTATHON® " which is going on across the country is known as "Pet Adopt-A-Thon 2009" in Delaware County at the Humane Society of Delaware County.

My dog is a rescue and so is my step-cat, I looked at dogs at the Delaware Shelter, it was probably closer to home for me (Northern Franklin County) than the Franklin County based humane society.

Pet Adopt-A-Thon 2009 is Friday, May 1st to Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 4920 State Route 37 E, Delaware, Ohio, just north of Columbus..

I love the adopt-a-thons.  But I have to make quick visits ... or stay away all together.  I'm such a sap that there would be 25 dogs in the house and the local news would label me crazy ....

Ummmmmmm ... wait .... maybe they would be right .....

I can not volunteer at the animal shelters because I would start a collection.  In high school there was a joke I would become a crazy cat lady someday. 

I worked with a couple who were involved in dog rescue years ago.  Selling their house with 5 dogs, a bunch of cats and kids was a challenge.

this is my adopted dog her name is six-pack (not from beer) a mo-par term for carbs.....I got her from an abusive home in 1999.....she is a pain in the but but I love her most of the time :-)   great post on the adopt-a-thon peace zane

my pound puppy is a pain a lot of the time but I love him to pieces... I hope a lot of pets get adopted in Southern Delaware County this weekend.  Thanks for the comment Zane.
