My newest post is about identity theft and some facts of how it affects us and how many people it affects each year. I was startled by the facts, but it is nice to know that the number of cased has decreased over the past few years as more people go online to do thier banking, the credit card offers quit coming, and there are some companies that do a good job of monitoring and protecting you.
Identity theft should be taken seriously. We all think it won't happen to us, but until we experience it, we have no idea of the stress and hoops victims have to jump through. And did you know, that some states have no laws to really protect you?
Well stay safe and help your clients stay safe as well, by educating yourself and them on how to prevent it and who can help if it does ever happen.
