How cute! That little cottage has a mystical feel about it. What is it made of?
Maureen...I love this little bit of whimsy, perfect title...it does have a magical quality to it. I clicked your link but did not see Pat's Fairy Garden as it's own link. But that's OK, it's lovely just as it stands.
Here is more of the story. Mapping magical Worthington
I wish I would have put my foot or my keys in the photo for a better idea of the size. I have another photo with a park bench, which gives the perspective. I don't remember why I did not use that one for this.... I believe the cottage is probably terra cotta. Lots of little "bonsai" trees are planted around it. It is called Pat's Fairy Garden, Pat Pabst was a woman who volunteered at the Worthington Griswold Center and she bequested the funds for the Fairy Garden when she was terminally ill. The garden is relatively new. I just happened on it last Friday, had no idea it existed.
Gail... Thanks I thought I tried to link to the Griswold Center which is part of the Park and Rec. Dept. for the city... I relinked the photo to the Griswold Center and hopefully it will stay.
Pat's Fairy Garden is very, very new... I found a memo via Google about creating it from the City Manager in 2008. I did not know it was there.
