Magic in Worthington?
I am NOT a J.R.R. Tolkien fan... not that I have anything against them, I just never read any of the books. I saw and enjoyed on some levels the 'Lord of the Rings' movies but could not really follow them.
The books by Tolkien had Elves, Hobbits, Trolls... and more... Here's a "Google Map" of Middle-Earth done by Daniel Reeve a fan. The maps as I understand them show where the Elves, Hobbits, Trolls etc. live.
I have never thought of Worthington as a very whimsical place but Old Worthington has a Fairy Garden and there are signs of a local Leprechaun population:
Pat's Fairy Garden is at 777 High St. Worthington 43085. The garden is in memory of Pat Pabst, a volunteer at Worthington's Griswold Center who passed away a few years ago. The fairy garden south east of the Griswold Center entrance has a cottage, paths, plants and an arbour.
There is a Leprechaun Entrance at P K O'Ryans Restaurant & Pub at 666 High St. Worthington Ohio, tucked in on the side of the builiding. The entrance is to the pub.
Magical Worthington, a Google Map of Worthington... If there are Leprechaun's and Fairies in Old Worthington are there Elves, Hobbits, Trolls nearby? Worthington's Rush Creek neighborhood kind of seems like an area Hobbits would enjoy. It has a "Shirelike" feel.... kind of if JRR Tolkien met Frank Lloyd Wright.... and the Hobbits took to Usonian architecture...
