I think I used to believe that, but I don't anymore, at least not under free-reign, unbridled capitalism due to the almighty dollar. When the Top 20% are fired, along with their multi-million dollar salaries, in preference for the newbie out of college who has a lifetime ahead of him but requires a current salary of a mere $100,000, then the Top 20% are not irreplaceable. They might go on to find another job, but probably at a much lower salary because they are so old. If they demand the salary they used to make, they don't get the job. They can go on to be self-employed, but then they are competing heavily against all the other Top 20% who were just fired. Of course, one could be indicted for 16 counts of fraud, be fired, and then sign a million dollar movie or book contract -- LOL.

This is a great post about being and doing your best and succeeding to the top 20% and becoming irreplaceable to your clients. Not about whether a person is replaceable. We all know they are not, especially to their family and friends. Nor is it about the government or mega company executive. This is about real estate!
