If Your Kids Are Drinking Red Bull, You Are Now Officially A Bad Parent

By

We all knew that energy drinks are probably not good for you, but a new series of studies have uncovered the truly crazy health threats associated with beverages like Red Bull. The drinks like to boast about strange herbal ingredients, but the thing that gives you "wings" is caffeine, and Red Bull contains the equivalent of seven cups of strong coffee or 14 cans of Coke). The study not only focused on healthy adults but also on kids, who when exposed to those levels of caffeine experience tremors and chest pain. Stick with water or Gatorade on the soccer field, parents.

Great point Angela......I tried one and bounced off the walls. No way can the kids have one.

Kids are gifted with enough natural energy as it is. I can't help but agree with you, that it is not a kids drink at all.

Please remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC" and I will do the same!

It did not work for me and I am not a coffee or coke soda person.  Kids should never be allowed to have any of these energy drinks period, did you read the sugar content.

Thank you for the post.

Is this really good for anyone -- kids or adults either? How can it be?

My son NEVER gets energy drinks.  He's 14.  He's got enough energy.  It's not just the caffeine, though.  Have you ever seen the sugar content in those things?  Ridiculous!
