remember to cherish each moment

I am constantly reminded throughout my day how important it is to cherish each moment and to be thankful in all things. Even though the business world is sometimes difficult with troubles of it's own...we need to remember to continue to stay focused on our business plans, goals, and prospecting. It is also important to have accountability by finding someone that is excited to jump in with prospecting. Accountability is a wonderful gift that we can give to others and that we can use to grow our businesses.
I was asked recently to consider doing something that is out of the box. Something that is different than what I am used to doing that would take me out of my comfort zone. It reminded me of a story that happened last year when I went outside of every zone I can think of by signing up for a sprint triathalon. The race I signed up for consisted on swimming 750 meters, biking 16 miles, and running a 5k. I thought this would be a fairly fun task until I got in the water. As I try to cherish each moment, I was surprised to find that my swimming skills that I thought I had were not there at all.
One particular experience when I was swimming laps at my gym, a life guard came over to me and asked if I was ok as if I was having trouble in the water. This was the moment when I realized that I needed more accountability because I was ready to give up completely on this idea of a triathalon. I was so embarrased that the life guard thought I was going to potentially drown!!

I am happy that I did complete the triathalon last September and I did not drown in the water. It was a great experience and one I will cherish, but it came with sacrifice and discipline.

In closing, think about your business like a race and make sure planning and accountability are in place for success!

Goals could be as easy as keeping a steady number of listings on a white board or on a pad placed where you can see it. Also, keeping a systematic pad with prospecting calls and then logging them. Take one day at a time and be diligent to do what is right!! Spend time talking to people to get the word out that you would like to grow your business.
