BTW - Great to hear from another that is out doing inspections on new homes!

Looking forward to your comments.

This all in the same house by the way.

1.  Cut and unsupported roof rafter for the chimney
2.  HVAC return duct that is actually run and strapped in the hallway. Notice where the electric boxes are.
3.  Floor joist hanger with only 1 nail.
4. "Workers" left trash and food all in the stud bays. Ready to be drywalled over.
5.  House was roof decked with TechShield except for this area where they ran out and just used OSB.
6.  Gas line for the fireplace is unsupported. Just hanging there in space.

Are you sure that wall is ready for drywall? It is an exterior wall and it has not been insulated yet. Assuming the wall would be insulated before the drywall is hung I would guess the insulator would have removed the trash.

Hello Jeffrey - Thanks for the pics.  Keep after those builders.  Someone has to keep an eye on them.
