OPEN HOUSES...LOOKING FOR TIPS TO MAKE THEM MORE SUCCESSFUL

Open House Banner

I personally believe in open houses...for a variety of purposes and reasons. I go into an open house with the attitude that I'm going to not only showcase the house, but showcase myself, my marketing, my personality, etc. I also am practical and logical enough to take my laptop with wireless capabilities and enough work to make good use of the time in case nobody shows up.

What ideas to all my AR friends have that have helped YOUR Open Houses?

I always take work with me as well, but I am really glad that most of the time I don't have time to do it.  We are trying some Sunset Open Houses in May on Thursday evening 5:30 - 7:00.   Will post results the lst of June.

Dave - I love your sign! We've done a couple of different things...we did a parade of open houses on a Saturday. We've also done Realtor Open Houses.

I know this is expensive but offering food and drink ALWAYS brings them in both realtors and buyers alike. It doesnt have to be expensive,,,,cheese and crackers, dips etc. Bill it as free refreshments in you ad.

Dave, I want your sign! Ha... We purchased large & very tall WELCOME signs that blow in the wind, kind of like something you would see on a car dealers lot, they are red, white and blue and you can see them from a block away!

Thanks...Keep the ideas coming! My sign is a tough, canvas banner with lettering on both sides. I use plastic wire ties to attach it to two signs and pull them tight. I like to have it up a couple days early to catch attention (where sign laws allow). They cost about $40 apiece. They've lasted a year so far. A local sign shop makes them. I can find out what he would charge to make and ship them if anyone would like to know.
