Home Seller DIY Tip

By
Home Stager with Shaping Spaces Group

Like most Home Stagers The Shaping Spaces Group does a Do-It-Yourself report for those homeowners that are putting their home on the market and the budget calls for redesigning what they already have. With the report I like to give my clients real examples (from past staging) of things they can do with what they already own to help get the property ready for showing. This also helps give them the confidence so when they move they have ideas they can resuse again and again. This is just one example I show home sellers for their Bathrooms and Powder rooms

3 simple ways to dress up boring bath towels with "everyday" items to entice Buyers or WOW your friends.

1. Use left over ribbon from the holidays or birthday to give those towels a new life.

2. That's right bungee cord, can become glamorous to add that designer masculine touch.

3. Tie backs aren't just for drapes you know. Switch it up and put your drapery accessories on your bath towels for a regal statement.

That looks great! A perfect idea for staging, but a little impossible for everyday showers. Thanks for the suggestion; hopefully we can implement it in some of our listings.

Thanks,

The bungee cord idea was a "think on your feet" idea. That was a suggestion for a bachelor of a loft unit. I had to keep him inspired to do the things he wanted to achieve. How can you tell a guy to buy some ribbon for his towels (not going to happen) He had bungees available so it worked for the industrial feel of the loft but I'm sure not for many others. :)

Thanks for the comments.
