Do not pay to have someone do a loan modification for you. I repeat do not fall for this scam. If you want help, do a little research and prepare yourself for the inevitable negotiations. One of the best things you can do is to pay an expert to have your loan documents audited. Its simple and its realtively cheap. Look on the internet and find a company your comfortable with. I have sent my clients to several different firms. All provided similar results but the biggest key was that my clients could approach the lender from a position of strength when problems were found. The terms of your modified loan will be much better if your audit finds problems with your note. About 40% of the audits result in problems found.....its worth the risk!
