Correction due to editorial Gaff!!!  My apologies.  When I calculated market share numbers last week, I forgot to combine Matt and Pat's numbers for the Town & Country Group.  The correct numbers are...(drum roll, please!).... The Town & Country Group- #4 in Units with 47.5 sales!  Congratulations on a strong start to a great year!!

WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST TEAM MEMBERs ~ Say hello to Donna Rosen and Catherine Tallant.  Donna recently re-activated her license to take advantage of her commercial contacts.  Donna has helped many small medical and dental practices get started, and is currently involved in leasing space for some of her clients.   Catherine is with The Jennifer Young Team as a buyer's agent, and recently obtained her DC license.

JUNE 3rd, 2009 Champion Title is hiring a Mosley Flint instructor to offer 2 four hour C.E. courses on June 3, 2009 for Keller Williams agents.  There will be much more specific information coming soon.  We will likely have a class from 8am-12pm, lunch break, then a class from 1-5pm.  Look out for an official evite with specific times for each class and location of the event.  Classes:  Real Estate Fraud Investigations (4 hours) and Real Estate Protection Act (Respa) (4 hours) *Lunch will be served between classes*

 Masterminds in Austin- Last week I attended the Keller Williams Mastermind in Austin TX.  As always, I left with a book full of ideas to implement in our business.  A couple highlights:  I received 2 referrals from TLs in Atlanta and Augusta.  I spoke with Dick Dillingham about the upcoming Shift Overdrive Tour.  Dick is really excited about teaching this course.  He has already completed trips to New Orleans, New York city, and Canada and has received great feedback on the tour.  The course is totally new for this year- and he spends the entire day on techniques to make the most of this market (No half day on technology this year).  Quote of the week: "Success is not for the chosen few, but for the few who choose!"

OUR BELIEF SYSTEM ~ WI4C2TS ~ Customers - Always Come FirstWe like to say that no one deal is worth your reputation.  Our clients and customers are on main priority...and we seek to satisfy their needs above all others- in a true consultative fashion.    

 THIS WEEK'S QUESTION FOR THE BROKER ~

Q: Do I need to get a buyer agency agreement signed if the customer tells me they are not working with another agent?  

 A: Two points: 1. You should always get a Buyer Agency/Brokerage agreement signed.  This explicitly states that you will be representing the client, and you will have a fiduciary responsibility to them. 2. Just because the customer states that they are not WORKING with an agent, does not mean that they haven't SIGNED an agreement with another agent. I recently sat on a case just like this.  Do yourself a favor- always ask if they have signed an agreement with another agent/brokerage firm...and get your agreement signed, as well. 

WHAT IS KELLER WILLIAMS REALTY RED DAY?   (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day is a new KW service initiative dedicated to improving our local communities. We are asking all associates to donate some time on May 14,  to renewing and energizing aspects of  local communities. Because of her constant commitment to the culture of our company, this day has been dedicated in honor of Mo Anderson.  Our vision for this day is that all KW associates will actively engage in a coordinated effort to improve their local community. Activities may include rehabbing a house, cleaning up a local trail, providing food for the homeless, or any other service related activity needed in your community. This will be one of the single biggest events ever undertaken in the real estate industry, and could possibly inspire others in the real estate industry to start their own community service project.   How can you help?   In order for this day to be a huge success, we need your energy and your commitment. Watch for more info from our Cultural Committee, but please plan on putting some time aside!  Thanks!
