I believe you ARE ready to buy your first home!
If you have not had ownership in a home in the past 3 years, you are, by definition, a "First time home Buyer" per the guidelines for the widely publicized "$8,000 Federal Tax Credit" program.
First time Home Buyers ROCK!
In fact, more than half of ALL transactions (nationally) that closed in April 09 involved first time buyers.
Oh and there are some GREAT deals out there . . .
and you can earn MORE than $75,000 as an individual or MORE than $150,000 as a couple and STILL qualify for some of that "Free Money" from the Federal Government.
The only hitch is that you've gotta buy your house before December 1, 2009.

Taking full advantage of this opportunity to own your own "first home" is not much more difficult than finding the right house when you have the representation of a professional REALTOR.
I waited 15 years (from the first time I thought of it) to buy my first home . . .
Why?
because I did not understand the process, and did not know a REALTOR who could 'splain it to me . . .
Stupid!
I have often thought back & wondered: "What if . . . "
I truly believe that had I bought a house way back then, my financial validity would have accellerated FAR faster than it has through the years.
I can think of another 100,000 + reasons for you to become a homeowner . . .
Do it RIGHT by calling a REALTOR IMMEDIATELY and ask for a Consultation.
