Has anyone an opinion or experiance with paying to be listed in the BPO directories or Foreclosure Agent directories. I have been running into a number of companies that claim to provide agents more BPO and Foreclosure Listings if you register with them for a fee. Are these companies legit or a scam. How can you tell the difference ?

I've had people ask me this when I get an opportunity to talk with them about the BPO business. There are many sites and companies out there that are charging to be listed within their directory of agents.
I feel that it is a money maker for these companies first and foremost and secondly there can be huge benefits when you decide to go ahead and pay for one of these service. You can get more business by means of people finding you online....etc.
My suggestion would be to research the heck out of any company or service that you are interested in. You can do this in multiple ways.
1. Do a keyword search on: Activerain. Google, the Better Business Bureau and even on Ripoffreport.com
2. By networking with others in the business locally and when at conferences as well as through participating in forums or sites such as Activerain provides.
These are a few of my thoughts, I hope it helps give you some food for thought!
