The Concordia neighborhood in Northeast Portland Oregon is cool. Any neighborhood that has a school that has been converted into a movie theater, pub, restaurant, hotel, soaking pool, whiskey bar, live music, event gatherings, art gallery and tourist attraction has to be noted in the opening line of any neighborhood info blog. Yes, The Kennedy School, a Mcmenamins place has a special spot in my heart. If you have never been, I highly recommend it.
Other places of interest are Fernhill Park, The Concordia Alehouse, New Seasons health food market and Milagros, baby boutiques. The Alberta Arts district borders Concordia to the south and Vernon to the West. People relocating to Portland Oregon can expect to find homes in the Concordia neighobrhood of $320,000 price range and average year built is around 1957. On Stage home staging and redesign co. Portland, OR. - Portland, OR
Kevin: I live in the Concordia neighborhood and would live no other place in Portland. I was lucky enough to find out before it was announced to the public that the Kennedy School was going to be renovated. I moved from the John's Landing neighborhood in 1994 and bought a triplex on a triple lot. It was the best investment I ever made, besides finding two other duplex properties shortly thereafter. I have loved watching the transformation of the neighborhood over the years.
