Partners in Peace. Hasn't Israel already tried that? Yeah lets all give the high school bully our lunch money and maybe he will go away and pick on someone else. Don't use weapons against the pirates because they may escalate their hostilities. If a robber puts a gun to your head, just do what he says, and don't make him mad.

Taking any kind of a defensive posture against any person, terrorist, or country has, for the last 8 years, been seen as a hostile action. If the perpetrator fights back, then the US is only getting what is asked for. Michael Moore explained it to the lefties and they all believed it.How many idiots have tried to tell everyone that 9-11 was our fault. Stand up to a criminal and get what you deserve. What?

Now that their guy is in power, libs and lefties are all of a sudden gung-ho for the whole "kick some ass" routine. President Obama and Hillsy talk tough and they all have to pick up the phone and call everyone they know, and get all excited like Rush Limbaugh died or something. I am sure that coffee houses all over America are full of unemployed stoners going "dude the O man is going to kick some rear end." ( sorry I have never been in a poetry house, coffee house, or head shop so my lingo may be in error). The funny thing is that the same people were all up in arms, and could not drink coffee while reading poetry, when President Bush did the same thing. He was just asking for trouble and should back down man. Funny.

To a liberal, the military is a nuisance that they must put up with. No need to give raises to soldiers, count their votes when they vote conservative, or salute them when they come home. But, when they serve the lib administration, it will be OK to give them some props. Dude.

Gotta love hypocrisy

Hi Kevin...If it makes you feel good to write lies about liberals go right ahead but if you wish to be the least bit fair and balanced you would rethink your statement that "To a liberal, the military is a nuisance that they must put up with................"

I'm married to a retired officer, graduate of West Point, that served for 35 years and I care very much about the military.

My father enlisted in WWII, serving in Germany when he had three children at home. My dad was a liberal.

Believe it or not, there are many liberals serving in the military.

Sorry, but the liberal establishment doesn't have respect for military service. Kate, I am sure that you as an individual do, but to say that the left in general does would be pretty wrong. Heck, the Clintons were trying to have the honor guard at the White House serve as waiters for state dinners... now that is some respect.

How many times have we all read about some lib making a comment about how our soldiers and airmen had to join the military because they had nothing better going. How many times have we read that our military members are uneducated. John Kerry speaking at Pasadena City College told a group of students that ""You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

We have all heard that stupid thing about how our military members are forced to join because they have a job at the corner gas station waiting for them. Who says that type of thing?

Charles Rangel: " I want to make it abundantly clear: if there's anyone who believes that these youngsters want to fight, as the Pentagon and some generals have said, you can just forget about it. No young, bright individual wants to fight just because of a bonus and just because of educational benefits. And most all of them come from communities of very, very high unemployment. If a young fella has an option of having a decent career or joining the army to fight in Iraq, you can bet your life that he would not be in Iraq.

Who spit on our soldiers as they returned from Vietnam. Was it a lib or a conservative actress who went to Vietnam and sold our soldiers out? Harry Reid called the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs "incompetent" so Reid could get more credibility with libs.

Jack Murtha claimed that US Marines killed civilians in cold blood. How many libs have written or stated that our soliders are brutal killers? Is it libs or conservatives who want our military members, who are following orders, to have to go in front of some idiotic international court to defend their actions? Which party sent a whole group of attorneys to Florida in 2000 to make sure the military votes were not counted?

Jay Rockefeller: "McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit. What happened when they (the missiles) get to the ground? He doesn't know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues." I guess all military pilots fit this mold according to libs.

Jeez, this list could go on and on. This is too easy.

Kevin - Leaving aside the fact that the quotes you presented do not fulfill your argument, are you trying to use quotes by several big names to justify your comment covering millions and millions of people in this country?

Maybe your title should be 2 plus 2 equals 100,000,000.

The big names above were elected by people who voted for them. Most of us vote for people who will represent our ideas. There are remarks by almost every single liberal in Congress like these. They were elected by liberals not conservatives.

And all those millions of people are unified in voice and they called their elected officials, told them exactly what they thought and the elected official did as told. Did you vote for Bush? If so, why did you ask him to attack Iraq in 2003?

Tchaka- A few of these guys have been reelected multiple times. It can't be by people that do not agree with them.

I did vote for Bush. While I did not ask him to attack Iraq, I did agree with it.

The problem in this argument is that there is so much information out there on blogs and in the Constitutional Record that liberal leaders continue to voice opposition to the liberal and hold a strong disdain for military personnel.

If liberals have such an impressive respect for the military, why do their children generally shun service... and at the same time, the conservative members of Congress are much more likely to be in the service...

Terry and Tchaka, you can say what you want, but the liberal establishment DOES have a general disdain for the military, thinking that there can always be a diplomatic solution... the problem is that unless there is a strong military, diplomacy isn't nearly as effective against thugs and bullies.
