When the Corbett Team walked through these doors at Kirkbrae Country Club, Lincoln, RI  last Thursday, April 30. 2009. We arrived at the registration desk of Ballyhoo Promotions Inc., Advertising Specialty Products. a company who slogan is

Karen and Thom Kane, owners of Ballyhoo Promotions, invited my team as guests to attend their Showcase 2009 event at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln RI to meet their many suppliers on Thursday, April 30th. from 10am-3pm. There were so many free giveaway items and a fabulous lunch at noon was included.

This event provided us the opportunity to view new and innovative product ideas for 2009. There were product displays from over 150 of their top lines.While visiting the many booths of suppliers there were a few that stood out for their generous giveaway items:
Such as Gail and Steve Almeida from Lakeville, Ma. They gave us a pet travelling bowl. Adorable and so convenient.





Marty Mantis from Hartford, CT gave each of us a tie-dye Tshirt, great for working at the gym

Dave Mattson from Concord, from New Hampshire gave us each compact green travelling bags.

 

 Mike Fleming from Weymouth, Ma gave us many different pens

Another supplier named Tom , that I met on the way out, gave us Papermate color pencils in pouches.

One other supplier that caught my eye was a young lady with the name, Kerrie-Lynn. I told her what a beautiful name. I have 2 sons and if I had a daughter her name was going to be Kerrie-Lynn spelled tha same as yours with the hyphen. She gave a great presentation on branded desktop software calendars.

SHIRLEY: Passing out promotional give-away items is great to keep your name before your client or prospective client.

EVELYN: You are absolutely right. I saw some items that I had never seen before. Many are now tech related. Every supplier had their own catalogue and a great display of many difference items ranging from less than $1 and on up.

IRENE: They do work, people seem to keep these items for a longer period of time. I remember having someone call me years after I had passed out " forget-me-not" seeds to come list her house when I used to be a listing agent. She told me she never planted the seeds but kept the package with my info, in case she ever needed my services, Now she did.
