Cinco de Mayo (Fifth of May) is primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla, Mexico. The holiday is to celebrate the Mexican army victory over French Force at the battle of Puebla on May 5, 1852. Cinco the Mayo is not Mexico Independence Day. The Independence Day is September 16.
