I usually write a post every day, but I have not had one creative thought for 2 days.
Why?
Because, I've been writing offers and my thoughts have been consumed by buyers.
Will their offer be accepted?
What might the seller come back with?
Will the seller really fix the plumbing?
What will happen at the inspection?
What will the survey show?
Why is my head filled with all of this?
Because
I saw that spark in the buyer's eyes. I realized that they really want to own these properties.
I noticed them as they walked through the houses, back and forth, looking...maybe dreaming of their family living in this home.
I watched as they looked out the windows and doors at the mountain views and the lake.... I could tell they were really excited.
I saw them making notes and taking pictures, this is a big deal for them!
Before I became "one", I really had no idea if Real Estate Agents cared or not. Sadly, I did think "they" only cared about their commission - and why wouldn't "they"? That's the money that feeds their family, and provides their shelter - of course "they" care about that, but they also care about their clients.
So, shame on me for not knowing this before I experienced it myself and shame on you if you think that way too! It reminds me of the old saying "walk a mile in my moccasins"
I see the care and concern in the agents I work with in my office, reflected by their clients who come back with hugs and gifts and after being in the ActiveRain community I can tell you that there are thousands of Real Estate Agents all over the country who care--- a lot!
I see it in their blogs, in their comments and in the way they reach out and support the members here and in their own individual communities.
Sure, there are some bad apples in every group - we should never judge the entire group by those few.
When I decided to get my license, I knew I had the background and knowledge to do a good job. I had no idea that I would meet so many nice people who turn into friends - or how much I would care about them or be so emotionally involved through each step of the negotiation process.
Walk a mile in my moccasins and you will know, that we may not show it all the time, (we are supposed to be professional - so we might not let you see us sweat) but we are anxiously standing by, we are waiting for the phone to ring for you, we want the outcome to be what you want and we are a group of professionals that care.
Why do I care?
Because Real Estate is one of the biggest investments you will ever make - it's a big deal - that's why!
