Chesapeake Goes Green

By

The other day I talked about Chesapeake becoming the home of the largest biodiesel plant in the country. Well now its official because a California company, SE-Energy Technology, has chosen Chesapeake due to its proximity to naval installations as the U.S. Navy is striving to make biodiesel 20% of its diesel fuel consumption. Biodiesel is clean-burning and is produced from renewable, domestic resources. How cool is that. This plant should come on by December and will employ some 40 people. The site is on 30 acres and will have storage for 42 million gallons.
