I happen to live in Oregon, yes it is beautiful here, green, with mountains, valleys, Lakes, Rivers, the high desert and of course the Pacific Ocean. Did I happen to mention that here in Oregon not only do bears hibernate but, so do many of the people (LOL). Many Oregonians don't own umbrellas, oh some do but plenty of those are transplants from other regions of the United States, we habitually just avoid getting wet. I have lived here most of my life and have come to the conclusion that a good number of Oregonians just don't go outside very often during the rainy season which frequently stretches from late September through early June, I believe they just detest getting wet, or maybe they are afraid they will melt... whatever the case may be when the weather is stormy you see people scurrying from car to store and back, often with packages doing the job of the ever elusive umbrella.
In Real Estate, we find that when the weather breaks and the sun peaks its lazy head thru the dark and dreary clouds, Open House season is on! (Hibernating) People in Oregon wake up, they head outdoors, they play hard, they shop hard, they BBQ, they immediately find their flip-flops and shorts, and begin the summer ritual. Many Oregonians desperately fit in all the normal outdoor activities into about a 3 or 4 month span. (Referring to hibernators only)
Okay maybe I am being a little hard on this lush place I lovingly call home, we don't have tornado's (I can't say never) It snows sparingly on the Westside of the Cascade Range, and yes sometimes we even get freak warm weather systems, and some days are just gray and cloudy, but one thing is for sure when the sun comes out people want to make changes, they want to Sell and Buy Real Estate, they want to tour the home shows, the open houses, Everything just wakes up... Hibernation is over for this year again...
It's Open House Season!!!!
